ISSPA President’s Speech

When this alumni started, never did it come to anybody’s mind where we are headed.
But it must be stated that it is a leap of faith from a platform of hope established in 2015 when we cast our anchor on Snr Elite Kingsley. He breathed hope into the alumni and we rode on the wings of his vision to pedestals of glory, renewal and rebirth.
Today, as we stand poised to build on his legacy and move ISSPA to the next level, we pay tribute to him. We must applaud him for the conduct of the election and handover.
I dare to believe that we can consolidate on the legacies of the Snr Elite Kingsley’s administration. The children of Israel thought it was impossible to kill Goliath and hid from him. But someone came with faith and a sling and brought down Goliath without breaking sweat

It was Mohammend Ali, the legendary boxer who stated that “Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Together we have already done the impossible under the leadership of Snr Elite Kingsley. By now we should delete the word “impossible” from our lexicon and let the world know that this blessed association, conceived in hope, actualized in faith and powered by vision all things are possible. There may be giants in the land but we have the faith to bring them down.

To those we contested the election, I salute them, it was by your permission that I emerged the President. I am not unaware of the challenges we face as we prepare for the work ahead. We should remember that to whom much is given, much is expected. We should work harder to protect what God has given to us by ensuring that we move ISSPA to a greater height.
On my part, I promise to hold and leverage on the ideals that our association have burned and branded in the hearts of all elites and senior elites.
Mandela once said that, “After climbing a great hill, one only finds out that there are many more hills to climb.” Great patriots this is only one battle won, the struggle continues. There lies the greater battle and that is where we want to be soon.

Once again I thank all the good people of ISSPA and my immediate past president who is also a part of the my administration, I am very sure he will lend me his ears when I need one and I also thank my fellow executives who didn’t turn down the opportunity to serve.
Let me specially thank my beautiful wife Mrs Abia Uzoamaka, whose support and encouragement I was part of the reunion at Owerri. I love you so much.
It is our victory today and it will be our victory tomorrow. Be comforted that He who brought us this far, did not bring us to abandon us.
